About Us

Bloodlines

We are a small family breeder located east of Spokane, Washington. Our dogs are very much part of our family and live in our home with us and our 6 children.

Our goals are to produce healthy dogs with natural hunt ability, versatility, great temperaments, trainability and the coveted 'off switch' that allows for a pleasant living partner. We want every one of the dogs we produce to be a "once in a lifetime" kind of dog.

We breed 1-2 litters per year and we post our next planned litter on our countdown here.

While pedigrees and bloodlines are nice on paper, we look more at the individual dogs when making breeding decisions. With that being said, there are bloodlines that we find often align with our goals and carry the traits we appreciate. These include but are not limited to:

We are happy that you've visited our site and fellow GSP people make our hearts glow but we also think it necessary and ethical to encourage first time GSP owners to really research the breed and ensure it is the right breed for you and your family. We network a lot with fellow GSP people and it always saddens our hearts when we see members of our beloved breed sitting in shelters, waiting for forever homes through rescue efforts or worst of all, abandoned on the roadside or living in poor conditions.

It is critical to understand that GSPs are generally a long lived breed so you need to be prepared to make a 10-15+ year commitment to him/her. They are also incredibly bonded and loyal to their families so rehoming is really hard on them. Below are informational links we hope will help you in making sure that GSPs are the breed for you and that you are ready and able to make the commitment needed to be a GSP parent.

I highly encourage people to join the many GSP forums on Facebook. This will give you the opportunity to get a glimpse into "a day in the life of a GSP owner". There's many groups to choose from but here's one that has a lot of members and activity.
